Josh Raynolds
Josh Raynolds is Assistant Editor of the International Wine Cellar publication, responsible for covering numerous wine regions throughout Europe and the New World. He began collecting wine while in college in the early 1980s and entered the retail wine trade full-time in Washington, D.C. in 1988. Following two extended working tours of France and Germany through the 1989 and 1990 harvests, he moved to the import side of the wine trade in 1991, representing Hand Picked Selections. He relocated to New York in 1993 to represent the portfolio of Rosenthal Wine Merchant, eventually becoming responsible for sales across the U.S. In 2005, Raynolds left the wine trade to become a full-time wine critic. His in-depth articles appear in every issue of the International Wine Cellar. In the course of his work, he tastes well over 10,000 wines per year, a good percentage of which he samples in the cellars with their makers in the course of his wine travel.
