Jeff Morgan

Jeff Morgan wears many hats. As a journalist, he has written for numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Food & Wine. A seven-year stint with Wine Spectator led him to review thousands of wines and also to develop an interest in food writing. Since he left Wine Spectator a decade ago, Jeff has written five cookbooks, including Dean & Deluca, The Food and Wine Cookbook; The Working Parents Cookbook; The PlumpJack Cookbook; and the soon-to-be released Domaine Chandon: Recipes from étoile. His fifth book, Rosé, A Guide to the World’s Most Versatile Wine, was a benchmark publication for this newly invigorated wine category.

Morgan is also a winemaker. He makes Covenant and RED C wines in the Napa Valley, where he lives. When he’s not in the cellar or writing, he teaches a popular course at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley called “Career Discovery,” covering the basics of winemaking and food and wine pairing, among other subject. The course was the subject of a lengthy feature in Food & Wine magazine in 2009.
